Footprint in the sand..."Social Media"

Ive seen social media evolve over the years into something waaaaay bigger than i expected. I mean in 2000 i was given my first phone, which funny enough was called a "fridge". It has huge, had an antenna, no camera, no internet. Social media did not even exist in my mind at the time. You only had the option of making a call and that was it. And boy, did i love that phone. It was perfect to me, the best gift ever. Fifteen years later and the phones' designs have evoled and so has my taste, lol. Social Media now, also has over 7.2 billion people and i'm sure will continue to grow as it is not only for the young anymore but even the old/mature are on these network sites now.

PRIME EXAMPLE: My 67 year old mother, smh (i'll save my thoughts on that, for a next blog, sigh)

I was thinking of how much i've been drawn into social media over the years and ive realised, i have a problem. I'm on so many social media sites yet i havn't done one single post of a picture or a status in almost a year. I guess you can call me a "joiner" which means ive maintained a profile and visit the network sites on a regular, but I don't actually post or publish anything on them. Right now im on Facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter, addicted to watching youtube videos but never published one for myself, addicted pinterest but never posted anything on the site. Sad, but true.

Who remembers hi5, myspace and tagged? Maaan, i was famous on those three and i was actually consistently active on them. I dont know what happened over the years, i got boring i guess lol. Even thoughhh to be frank, i think i did pretty good on facebook when it first came out, but yeaaah i'm not doing so good in the social media department right now. But i'll do better, i promise.

Guess my footprint has disappeared in that sand, huh? Hahaha

My confession: My name is Kadean Thomas, I'm 26 years old and im addicted to food. Haha. What's funny about my blog is that I'm a 20 percent chef, eighty percent pot burner.

Nevertheless I'm in love with the idea of creating dishes that become art, that becomes a medium that makes people happy. So, it's about time i turn myself into a one hundred and ten percent chef, right? I think so too.

Follow me on my journey to achieving my goal, I'll burn things or  serve things under cooked, but in the end I'll get it together (I hope).
